Mario Kart: Super Circuit on GBA is basically the pocket-sized version of chaos you'd expect—same tight drifting, same banana-peel shenanigans, just crammed into that little cartridge. The tracks are a mix of classic SNES throwbacks and new ones that somehow feel just right on the tiny screen. I was skeptical about the controls at first, but after a race or two, you’re sliding around corners like it’s second nature.

It’s got that classic Mario Kart vibe where one blue shell can ruin your life (or save it, if you’re in last place). The battle mode’s a blast too, especially if you’ve got a friend with a link cable—nothing like trapping them in a maze with a well-placed fake item box. The graphics are obviously simpler than the console versions, but they’ve got this weird charm, like a toy version of Mario Kart you can take anywhere.

If you’ve got a GBA lying around, this one’s still stupidly fun to pick up between bus rides or whenever you need a quick dose of karting mayhem.
