WolfChild on SNES is one of those weird, kinda janky platformers that somehow sticks with you. You play as this kid who can morph into a werewolf—which sounds awesome, but the first time I transformed, I immediately got stuck on a platform because the hitbox was all wonky. Classic '90s charm.
The pixel art holds up surprisingly well, especially the wolf animations when you're tearing through enemies. Some levels feel like they were designed specifically to mess with you (that factory stage with the conveyor belts still gives me nightmares), but there's something satisfying about finally nailing the timing on those jumps.
Honestly, the human form feels a bit useless except for squeezing through tight spaces, but when you switch to wolf mode and start chomping through robots and mutants? That's when the game really shines. Just don't expect a deep story—it's mostly about vibes and figuring out how not to die in increasingly ridiculous environments.
If you're into retro games with rough edges and a cool gimmick, this one's worth dusting off the SNES for.
