Tsuri Sensei is one of those Game Boy gems that makes fishing weirdly hypnotic. You start off with this tiny rod and basic bait, casting into these little pixelated ponds where the fish barely ripple the surface—until something bites. The first time I played, I yanked the line too early and lost what looked like a decent catch (still mad about it).
What’s cool is how the fish actually fight differently—some thrash around, others just lazily tug. And the upgrade system? Simple but satisfying. Save up for better gear, and suddenly you’re hauling in monsters that barely fit on the screen. The music’s this chill loop of water sounds and soft chiptune, perfect for zoning out between classes or bus rides.
It’s not deep, but that’s the point. You just cast, wait, and maybe swear when a big one gets away. Still my go-to when I need to kill 20 minutes without thinking too hard.
