If you've ever wanted to feel like a proper spy with terrible battery life, Splinter Cell on GBA nails that sneaky, low-light vibe surprisingly well. You start off creeping through some embassy vents—classic Sam Fisher stuff—and within minutes you're choking out guards who never saw you clinging to the ceiling. The lighting effects on this little cartridge are weirdly impressive for the time; shadows actually matter, and walking past a security camera feels tense.

It's got that trial-and-error thing where you'll quickload a bunch after setting off alarms (why do I always forget to check for laser tripwires?). The hacking minigames are janky but charming, and somehow the tiny sprites still pull off that iconic night-vision green glow. Not bad for a handheld version—just don't expect the same fluidity as the console big brothers. Still, hiding a body in a locker while a patrol walks by never gets old.
