Okay, so The Terminator on NES is basically you playing as Kyle Reese, trying to stop a murder robot from rewriting the future. It’s got that classic '80s action movie vibe—dark streets, flickering neon, and a relentless Terminator that just won’t quit. The first level drops you right into downtown LA with just a pistol, and let me tell you, that thing feels useless against a cybernetic killing machine.
You’ll scavenge better weapons (thank god for the shotgun), dodge cops who somehow think you’re the problem, and occasionally stumble into a storefront that turns into an impromptu shootout. The Terminator himself shows up at the worst possible moments, and yeah, those red-eyed close-ups still freak me out a little.
It’s tough—like, NES-hard tough—but there’s something satisfying about barely surviving a level with a sliver of health left. And if you’ve got a buddy, two-player mode turns the chaos up even higher. Just don’t expect the movie’s happy ending to come easy.
