Okay, so The Second Reality Project 2 is one of those SNES games that feels like it teleported straight out of 1994. You start off in this weird, colorful world where the platforms are just slightly too far apart, and the first enemy—some bouncing blue blob called Zycloboo—immediately knocks you into a pit. Classic.
The pixel art’s got that chunky, nostalgic charm, and the music? Super catchy in that way only 16-bit soundtracks can be. But don’t let the cute looks fool you—some of these jumps are brutal. There’s this one level where you’re dodging spinning saw blades while platforms disappear under you, and yeah, I might’ve yelled at my TV a little.
If you grew up with SNES platformers, this’ll hit all the right notes. If you didn’t? Well, welcome to the ‘90s, where game overs were frequent and checkpoints were a luxury. Either way, it’s a solid little time capsule with just enough frustration to make the wins feel earned.
