Okay, so The Jetsons: Cogswell's Caper is one of those weirdly charming NES games where you play as George Jetson trying not to get fired by his ridiculous boss, Mr. Spacely. You’re basically running around futuristic cities, dodging robots and collecting parts—sometimes you even hop into a little hovercar thing, which feels both janky and weirdly fun.
The controls take a second to get used to (why does jumping feel so floaty?), but once you figure it out, there’s something oddly satisfying about bouncing between platforms while Spacely yells at you from the background. The levels are short but packed with little hazards—watch out for those conveyor belts, they’ll mess you up.
If you’re into old-school platformers with a side of 90s cartoon nostalgia, this one’s a fun time. Just don’t expect it to play like Super Mario Bros.—it’s its own weird little thing. Also, the music is weirdly catchy.
Controls: Arrow keys to move, Z to jump, X to shoot (when you get the upgrade). Space for pause, Enter to start. Took me a minute to stop hitting the wrong buttons.
