Okay, so The Invincible Iron Man on GBA is basically what you’d expect from a 2000s handheld superhero game—fast, a little janky, but weirdly satisfying if you’re into that era. You start off blasting drones in some industrial zone, and yeah, the sprites are actually pretty decent for the hardware. Tony’s repulsor beams feel chunky, and there’s something oddly fun about hovering just out of reach while enemies flail below you.
The armor upgrades are cool—you’ll scavenge parts mid-mission to tweak your stats, though I mostly just maxed out the unibeam because watching it melt bosses never got old. Some of the platforming bits are clunky (why does a guy in a rocket suit struggle with tiny gaps?), but the boss fights against classic villains like Crimson Dynamo make up for it. Just don’t expect deep storytelling—it’s mostly "bad guy appears, punch bad guy" with comic-style cutscenes.
If you’ve got nostalgia for GBA action games or just want to feel like a flying tank for 20 minutes, it’s a solid time. The soundtrack even throws in some crunchy guitar riffs when things heat up.
