Tenchi Wo Kurau Game

Tenchi Wo Kurau on Game Boy is one of those old-school beat 'em ups where you pick a warrior—I always went for Guan Yu with his big halberd—and just plow through waves of enemies. The sprites are tiny but surprisingly detailed for a Game Boy game, and the combat feels weighty, like you can almost feel the impact when you land a combo.
It’s got that classic Dynasty Warriors vibe before Dynasty Warriors was even a thing. You’ll fight in crowded battlefields, dodging arrows while trying not to get swarmed. The controls take a minute to get used to—hold B to charge your attack, tap A for quick slashes—but once it clicks, you’ll be mowing down foot soldiers like it’s nothing.
Fair warning: it’s tough. Enemies gang up on you fast, and the bosses hit like a truck. But there’s something satisfying about finally clearing a stage after a few tries. If you’re into retro action games with a historical twist, this one’s a solid time capsule.
