Tecmo World Wrestling on NES is one of those old-school wrestling games that somehow still holds up. The controls are simple—grab, punch, kick, and suplex your way through a roster of weirdly charming wrestlers, each with their own exaggerated moves. I love how over-the-top the animations are, especially when someone gets tossed out of the ring.
At first, the timing for reversals feels a little stiff, but once you get the hang of it, matches turn into these back-and-forth brawls where one wrong move can cost you. The crowd even boos or cheers depending on how dirty you fight. It’s not deep by today’s standards, but there’s something satisfying about landing a perfect piledriver.
Keyboard controls are mapped like this: Z for A, X for B, C for C, and A/S/D for X/Y/Z. Takes a second to adjust, but muscle memory kicks in fast. If you’re into retro wrestling chaos, this one’s a blast.
