Man, Tarzan on Game Boy takes me back. You start off swinging from vines right away—no tutorial, just pure jungle chaos. The controls are simple but weirdly satisfying once you get the rhythm of grabbing vines and launching yourself forward. Miss a jump? Enjoy the classic Game Boy "falling into the abyss" death sound.
The levels actually feel like the movie—lush greens, waterfalls, even those weird hyenas lurking around. Some of the platforming gets brutal though, especially when leopards or whatever decide to jump at you mid-swing. Graphics were solid for the time, and that little Tarzan sprite has way more personality than you’d expect.
It’s one of those games where you’ll replay the same level five times just to nail a tricky vine sequence. Not gonna lie, younger me got stuck on the treehouse level for an embarrassing amount of time. Still holds up if you’re into old-school platformers with a side of nostalgia.
