Super Spy Hunter is one of those NES games that looks simple at first—just another top-down racer where you shoot stuff—but then it throws curveballs at you. You start off blasting enemy cars with your machine gun, but before long, you're switching between different weapon modes (missiles are my go-to) and dodging obstacles that come out of nowhere. The controls feel tight, though it takes a minute to get used to the weapon switching.
What really stands out is how the stages mix things up. One minute you're weaving through traffic, the next you're in a tunnel dodging mines or fighting a boss that takes up half the screen. The music’s got that classic NES energy too—fast-paced and kinda hype when you’re in the zone. Just don’t expect it to go easy on you; this one’s got some teeth.
Controls: Arrow keys to move, Z to shoot, X for missiles, and C to switch weapons. You’ll need all three if you want to survive past level 3.
