Okay, so Super Metroid Cliffhanger (Easy Version) is basically classic Metroid vibes but without the controller-throwing frustration. You still get the eerie alien tunnels, the creepy music that makes you glance over your shoulder, and that sweet moment when you finally find a new upgrade after backtracking for half an hour.
What’s different? The enemies hit softer, energy drops are more generous, and some of the brutal platforming sections got tweaked. I still died to those stupid flying things in Maridia, but at least it didn’t take 15 tries. If you’ve never played a Metroid game before, this is the one to start with—you get the atmosphere and exploration without the rage-quit moments.
And yeah, you’ll still spend way too long shooting random walls hoping for a secret missile tank. Some habits never die.
