Alright, so Super Luigi World - Luigi's Quest is basically what happens when Nintendo finally gives Luigi the spotlight—and honestly, he deserves it. It’s a classic SNES platformer, but instead of stomping around as Mario, you’re playing as his lankier, slightly more nervous brother. The controls feel familiar—tight jumps, slippery slides—but Luigi’s got this weird floaty jump that takes a minute to get used to. Once you do, though, it’s kind of fun bouncing off enemies’ heads like you’re made of springs.
The levels are packed with those little SNES-era details: hidden blocks just out of reach, coins tucked behind scenery, and Bowser’s goons popping up in the most annoying spots. And yeah, Peach gets kidnapped again, but at least this time Luigi’s the one rolling his eyes and sighing before grabbing his cap. The music’s got that bouncy, upbeat Mario vibe, but with a slightly off-key twist—like Luigi’s whole personality.
If you’ve played any of the old Mario games, you’ll slide right into this one, though some of the jumps are deceptively mean. Worth a play if you’ve got a soft spot for green overalls and ’90s platforming.
