Super Dodge Ball Advance is basically what happens when the team behind the classic Kunio-kun dodgeball games makes a spiritual successor without the official license. It's got that same chaotic energy—wild throws, ridiculous knockouts, and matches that turn into absolute mayhem within seconds.
You pick from a bunch of weirdly specialized teams (some feel overpowered, others are just there to get wrecked), and the controls are simple but satisfying. The ball physics are just janky enough to make every match unpredictable—sometimes you'll pull off a perfect curve shot, other times you'll whiff completely and eat a faceful of dodgeball. The GBA sprite work holds up surprisingly well, too, with those exaggerated character animations when someone gets KO'd mid-air.
It's not as deep as the Neo Geo version, but it's way more portable and still stupidly fun in short bursts. Just don't expect a balanced experience—half the fun is finding which team breaks the game the hardest.
