Snow Bros is one of those NES gems that’s way more fun than it has any right to be. You play as Nick (or his brother Tom in two-player), rolling up enemies into giant snowballs and kicking them across the screen—watching them take out everything in their path never gets old. The first few levels ease you in with simple ice caves, but before long you’re dodging fireballs from King Scorch’s minions while trying not to fall into pits.
What really makes it stand out is how chaotic it gets when you’re scrambling to trap enemies before they swarm you, especially in later stages. The bosses are ridiculous in the best way—one’s a yeti that throws snowmen at you, another’s a dragon that breathes fire while hopping around. And yeah, the story’s basically "rescue your brother, save the sun," but let’s be honest, you’re here for the snowball mayhem.
It’s got that perfect arcade-style feel where you can blast through it in an afternoon or keep replaying to top your high score. Just don’t be surprised if you start humming the music afterward.
