About Robo Warrior
Robo Warrior came out for the Nintendo Entertainment System in 1987, developed by Hudson Soft. It was part of that wave of early NES games that tried to blend different genres, placing you in a science fiction setting that felt distinct from the many fantasy adventures of the time.
You control a robot named Zed on a mission to stop an alien invasion. Your primary goal is to navigate through maze-like levels, bombing walls to find hidden passages and the exit to the next stage. The game uses a screen-by-screen exploration style; each screen is a self-contained puzzle where you place bombs to destroy blocks and enemies. You also collect power-ups to enhance your bomb's blast radius and your own durability. The pacing is deliberate, requiring careful placement of your limited bombs, and the difficulty can be unforgiving if you waste resources.
