Rob-omb's Quest Hard is one of those SNES platformers that looks cute at first—until it kicks your teeth in. You play as this little wind-up bomb guy, bouncing through levels that start simple but get brutal fast. The pixel art nails that classic 16-bit charm, but don’t let the nostalgia fool you—those spike pits and enemy patterns demand precision.
First level? Easy. By world two, you’ll be sweating over pixel-perfect jumps while dodging fireballs from some angry sun enemy. The controls feel tight, though, which helps when you’re replaying the same section for the 10th time. And yeah, you’ll replay sections. A lot.
If you grew up with games that didn’t hold your hand, this one’s right up your alley. Just don’t throw your controller when the boss fights start cheating.
