Road Fighter on NES is one of those old-school racers that feels simple at first—just a little red car weaving through traffic—but gets surprisingly intense. You’re basically trying to dodge other cars while keeping your fuel from running out, and the further you go, the faster and crazier the traffic gets. The controls are tight, but man, those later stages will test your reflexes.
What I love is how the game throws curveballs at you—sudden oil slicks, trucks swerving into your lane, and that panic when your fuel gauge starts blinking. It’s not fancy by today’s standards, but there’s something satisfying about beating your high score. If you’re into retro racing with a bit of a challenge, this one’s a solid pick.
