Puzznic is one of those weird little NES puzzle games that somehow sticks with you. You're sliding blocks around a grid, trying to match colors to clear them—simple at first, but the later stages get seriously devious. The Japanese version has this oddly satisfying "clink" sound when pieces connect that the US release somehow messed up.
What I love is how it starts off letting you take your time, then suddenly throws these levels where you've got to think three moves ahead. The block physics feel just unpredictable enough to keep you on your toes without feeling unfair. And that music? Weirdly catchy in that 8-bit way.
It's the kind of game you boot up thinking "just one level" and suddenly an hour's gone by.
