Man, Punisher on Game Boy is way more brutal than you'd expect from a tiny cartridge. You start off in some grimy back alley, fists flying, and within minutes you're grabbing pipes off the ground to crack skulls. The sprites are tiny but weirdly detailed—you can actually see Frank's ridiculous shoulder pads bouncing as he punches guys through plate glass windows.
What surprised me is how many weapons they crammed in here. Guns feel rare (probably a ratings thing), so you end up improvising with knives, Molotovs, even tossing enemies into oil drums. The third level where you raid a drug den is where it really clicks—dodging between cover while thugs spray bullets everywhere gives it this weird tactical brawler vibe.
It's janky in that classic Game Boy way (good luck telling some enemies apart), but that adds to the charm. By the time you're hijacking a speedboat to chase down a crime boss, you'll either love it or rage-quit during the infamously cheap final boss. Either way, your thumbs will need ice packs afterward.
