Pokémon Mystery Dungeon: Explorers of Sky is one of those games that sneaks up on you—you start off just picking your Pokémon partner (I always go with Chimchar, no regrets), and suddenly you're neck-deep in a story that’s way more emotional than you’d expect from a dungeon crawler. The whole "wake up as a Pokémon" thing sounds silly at first, but the writing actually makes you care about your little team.
Dungeons are turn-based, so you’ve got time to think, but they still get tense when you’re low on apples and a pack of wild Pokémon corners you. And the soundtrack? Absolute bangers—I still hum some of the tunes years later. It’s got that classic DS charm, even if the graphics are a bit dated now.
If you like dungeon crawlers with heart, this one’s a gem. Just don’t blame me when you get attached to your Piplup sidekick.
