About Pokemon - Heart Gold (jp)
Pokemon Heart Gold was released for the Nintendo DS in 2009 by Game Freak. It is a remake of the original Gold version for the Game Boy Color, arriving late in the DS lifecycle when the hardware was well established. This was a period where developers were comfortable with the dual screen setup and touch controls, and this game made full use of those features.
You control a young trainer who sets out to explore the Johto and Kanto regions, capturing Pokemon and battling other trainers. Your main goal is to collect eight Gym Badges from each region and ultimately defeat the Elite Four to become the Pokemon Champion.
