Pocket Kyoro-chan is one of those weird little Game Boy games that feels like it fell out of a Japanese magazine promo. You play as this tiny bird mascot (Kyoro-chan, apparently) hopping around collecting... something? The controls are janky in that classic early Game Boy way, but there's something oddly charming about the chunky pixel art and the way the screen scrolls in sudden jumps.
First time I booted it up, I had no idea what was happening—just a bird, some platforms, and a timer counting down. Took me a few tries to realize you're supposed to grab all the floating items before time runs out. It's simple, kinda clunky, but weirdly satisfying in short bursts. Definitely not a hidden gem, but if you're into obscure Japanese oddities, it's a neat little time capsule.
Also, that title screen music is way catchier than it has any right to be.
