I first played Moguranya on the Game Boy back in 1990, a release from Jaleco. It was one of those many action-puzzle games that filled the portable's library, a simple concept built for short bursts of play. You don't hear much about it now, but it had its own quiet spot in the early days of handheld gaming.

You control a little mole, and your goal is to dig through the dirt to reach the exit on each stage. The main challenge is that you can only dig in certain patterns; you carve out blocks in a way that reminds me of shaping a path rather than just tunneling randomly. Enemies patrol the tunnels, and you can temporarily stun them by hitting blocks from underneath, which forces you to plan your route carefully. The game moves at a deliberate pace, and later levels get quite tricky as you manage limited space and multiple foes. It feels like a thoughtful, almost meditative puzzle where a single wrong dig can trap you.
