Mickey Mousecapade is one of those weirdly charming NES games where Mickey and Minnie are trapped in a Fun House that’s anything but fun. You’ll hop through rooms tossing stars at bats and weird bouncing apples while hunting for keys—classic 8-bit platforming with that slightly janky NES feel. The controls take a second to get used to (why does Minnie mirror Mickey’s jumps?), but there’s something oddly satisfying about the way the puzzles unfold.
Fair warning: some of the hit detection is… questionable. You’ll swear you dodged that spider, but nope. Still, the music’s catchy, and the sprite work has that nostalgic Disney charm. If you’re into retro platformers, it’s a quirky little time capsule—just don’t expect it to play like modern Mickey games.
Controls: Arrow keys move, Z jumps, X shoots stars. And yes, you’ll be mashing those buttons a lot.
