About Mickey Mousecapade
Mickey Mousecapade came out for the Nintendo Entertainment System in 1987, developed by Hudson Soft. It was one of many platformers from that era, a straightforward adventure featuring familiar characters.
You control Mickey Mouse, with Minnie following you automatically through side scrolling levels. Your main goal is to rescue Minnie after she is kidnapped, moving screen by screen through forests, caves, and a pirate ship. You attack enemies by throwing stars, which you collect from candles and other objects. A signature mechanic is that Minnie mirrors your jumps and movements, which can sometimes put her in danger from enemies. The pacing is quick, and the difficulty can be unforgiving due to limited continues and unpredictable enemy patterns. Playing it feels like a brisk, sometimes chaotic, trip through a cartoon world.
