Mega Man IV on Game Boy is classic Blue Bomber action squeezed into that tiny screen—somehow it still feels just as good. You start off jumping and shooting through those signature tight corridors, dodging spikes and robot birds that come out of nowhere. The first boss fight against Bright Man had me sweating—his flash attack blinds you for a second, which is brutal when you're already dealing with tiny Game Boy controls.
What I love is how they crammed in all the Mega Man staples: eight robot masters, their weapons to steal, and that sweet, sweet level of "just one more try" difficulty. The music’s surprisingly catchy too, even through those tinny speakers. It’s not as smooth as the NES versions, but there’s something charming about how they made it work on handheld. If you’ve got a soft spot for old-school platformers that don’t hold your hand, this one’s a solid time capsule.
