Mega Man III on Game Boy is that perfect mix of nostalgia and "why is this so hard?" frustration. You start off blasting through robot enemies with the classic Mega Buster, jumping between platforms that feel just a little too far apart—until you get the rhythm down. The first boss had me stuck for way longer than I'd like to admit, but nailing that pattern and stealing their weapon? So satisfying.
The levels have that classic Mega Man vibe—bright colors, weird robot enemies, and those sneaky pits you'll absolutely fall into a few times. It's not as smooth as the NES versions, but there's something charming about the chunky sprites and tinny Game Boy soundtrack. If you're into retro platformers that don't hold your hand, this one's a solid time capsule.
Just don't throw your Game Boy when you die to the same jump five times in a row.
