About Mario & Luigi Rpg
I first played Mario & Luigi: Superstar Saga on the Game Boy Advance back when it was new. It was developed by AlphaDream and published by Nintendo. The GBA had a lot of great RPGs, and this one stood out because it was a Mario game that felt different from the platformers I was used to.
You control both Mario and Luigi at the same time, switching between them to solve puzzles in the overworld. Your main goal is to recover Princess Peach's stolen voice. The combat is turn-based, but you have to time your button presses to land stronger attacks and dodge enemy moves. You explore areas screen by screen, finding beans to upgrade your stats and new bros moves to reach previously inaccessible spots. The pacing is brisk, and the game isn't overly difficult if you pay attention to the timing mechanics. It feels clever and responsive to play, with a constant sense of discovery.
