Low G Man is one of those weird, janky NES platformers that somehow sticks with you. You play as this space soldier bouncing around in low gravity, which means your jumps feel floaty and awkward at first—until you get the hang of it. Then it’s kinda fun to just bounce off walls and enemies like some kind of space ninja.
The controls take a second to adjust to (why does Z shoot and X jump?), but once you do, the game throws these weird, blocky aliens at you while you scramble for power-ups. Some levels feel almost unfinished, but there’s a weird charm to the whole thing. Just don’t expect it to play like Mario.
Oh, and the music? Surprisingly decent for an obscure NES title. That title screen theme still pops into my head sometimes.
