Family Jockey Game

Family Jockey on the Game Boy is one of those weirdly satisfying little racing games that shouldn’t work as well as it does. You pick your horse (I always went for the black one—no stats, just vibes), and then it’s off to these tiny, jittery pixel tracks where the controls somehow make sense after a lap or two.
It’s not exactly a sim—more like a stripped-down arcade racer where timing your boosts matters way more than you’d think. The horses have this weird, bouncy animation that grows on you, and the music? Pure late-'90s Game Boy cheese in the best way.
Honestly, half the fun is seeing how close you can cut corners before your jockey goes full ragdoll. It’s janky, it’s simple, and yeah, I’ve definitely lost half an hour to it without realizing. If you’ve got a soft spot for oddball retro sports games, this one’s worth a lap or two.
