Okay, so Dinotopia: The Timestone Pirates on GBA is basically what happens if someone mashed up pirate shenanigans with dinosaurs—and somehow it works? You play as this kid (or honestly, I forget if you get character options) trying to stop a bunch of pirates from messing up the whole humans-and-dinos-living-together vibe.
The first thing that hits you is the art style—bright colors, chunky sprites, and these weirdly expressive dinosaurs just going about their day. You’ll be running around solving little puzzles, jumping over stuff (of course), and occasionally hopping on a dino’s back because why walk when you can ride a triceratops? The pirate fights get surprisingly tense for a GBA game—you’re dodging cannonballs one minute, then sneaking through their hideout the next.
It’s got that classic early 2000s licensed-game energy—not groundbreaking, but way more charming than it needed to be. If you ever wanted to yell “I’m teaming up with a stegosaurus to take down a pirate ship,” this is your chance.
