Digimon Sapphire Game

Digimon Sapphire on the GBA is basically the Digimon RPG I always wanted as a kid. You start off picking your rookie—I went with Agumon because, well, classic—and suddenly you're thrown into this weird digital world where everything wants to fight you. The pixel art actually holds up, especially when your Digimon digivolves mid-battle with those little flashy animations.
What surprised me was how much strategy goes into raising them. Feed them the wrong thing and they'll get all moody, skip too many battles and they won't evolve when you need them to. And those boss fights? Some of them wrecked me until I figured out the type matchups. The soundtrack's got that early 2000s synth vibe that somehow makes grinding feel less tedious.
It's got that perfect balance of nostalgia and actually still being fun to play. Just don't blame me when you lose an hour trying to get that perfect WarGreymon evolution.
