Dig Dug Game

Dig Dug on Game Boy is that perfect kind of old-school arcade simplicity—you just dig tunnels, drop rocks on enemies, or pump them up like balloons until they pop. Sounds easy, right? Then you realize those little Pooka and Fygar creatures get faster every level, and suddenly you're sweating over pixel-perfect rock drops.
The controls are stupidly satisfying—that *psssh psssh* sound when you inflate a monster never gets old. I always go for the rock traps first, but half the time I misjudge the timing and crush myself instead. Classic.
It’s one of those games where you swear you’ll stop after "just one more try," and then an hour vanishes. The Game Boy port keeps the charm intact, even if the screen’s a bit cramped. Still holds up if you like your nostalgia with a side of mild frustration.
