Alright, so Crayon Shin-Chan 4 on Game Boy is exactly what you'd expect—chaotic, goofy, and weirdly charming. You start off as Shin-Chan, running around doing dumb kid stuff like drawing on walls and annoying adults, but somehow it turns into this weirdly fun little platformer.
The levels are bright and messy, just like the anime, and the controls are simple enough that you can jump right in. At first, I thought it was just another licensed game cash-in, but there’s actually some decent platforming here—jumping on enemies, collecting random items, and occasionally pulling off Shin-Chan’s ridiculous butt-wiggle attack (yes, really).
Music’s catchy in that old-school Game Boy way, and if you grew up with the show, the little character sprites will probably make you smile. It’s not gonna blow your mind, but it’s a solid pick if you want something silly and nostalgic. Just don’t expect deep mechanics—this is pure, dumb fun.
