About Contra Spirits (japan)
Contra Spirits came out for the Super Nintendo Entertainment System in 1992, developed by Konami. It was part of that wave of early SNES games that really pushed the hardware with big sprites and fast, chaotic action.
You control one of two commandos, Bill or Lance, running and gunning through side-scrolling stages. Your main goal is straightforward: fight through each level, defeat the boss, and survive. The signature mechanics are the weapon power-ups you collect, which change your gun's firing pattern, and the ability to cling to certain walls and ceilings to avoid enemy fire. The pacing is relentless, and the difficulty is punishing; you die in a single hit, so memorizing enemy placements is essential.
