Championship Bowling on NES is one of those weirdly satisfying old-school sports games where the physics feel just off enough to be hilarious. You pick your bowler (spoiler: the dude with the mustache has the best stats), aim with this janky little arrow, and then pray your timing isn't terrible when you release the ball. The lanes look like they were drawn in five minutes, and the pins make this ridiculous *clonk* sound when they fall over.
It's not exactly realistic—sometimes the ball curves like it's possessed—but there's something weirdly addictive about trying to nail a strike with those stiff little sprites. Also, the Japanese version has slightly different music, which is either charming or grating depending on how many frames you've bowled. If you're into retro oddities, this one's a surprisingly fun time-waster.
