Cadillacs and Dinosaurs is one of those weirdly fun NES beat 'em ups where you pick between four characters—each with their own weird little quirks. Jack’s the all-rounder, Hannah’s quick but fragile, Mustapha’s got speed, and Mess is just a walking tank. I usually go with Jack because, well, I’m basic like that.

You’ll punch, kick, and occasionally team up with friends for flashy combo moves while dodging (or getting wrecked by) random dinosaurs that don’t care who they attack. The weapons are a nice touch—guns, rocks, even explosives—but half the time I forget to use them before getting swarmed. And yeah, the special moves drain your health, so you gotta pick your moments unless you enjoy dying dramatically.

It’s chaotic, a little janky, and the final boss is exactly as frustrating as you’d expect from an NES game. Still, there’s something weirdly charming about brawling through a post-apocalyptic world where Cadillacs and dinosaurs somehow coexist.
