Man, Boxing on the Game Boy is way more fun than it has any right to be. You get this tiny little pixel fighter throwing jabs and uppercuts, and somehow it actually feels tense when you're bobbing and weaving. The controls are dead simple—just two buttons—but timing matters way more than button mashing if you want to survive past the third opponent.
First match, you'll probably get cocky and eat a hook to the face. By the second or third fight, you start figuring out the rhythm—when to duck, when to counter, when to just back off and let the other guy tire himself out. The AI isn't genius or anything, but it's got enough personality to keep you on your toes. That third guy? Total slugger. You'll hate him until you learn his patterns.
It's pure old-school charm—no fancy combos, no story mode, just you and a progressively harder lineup of blocky boxers. Still holds up if you're into quick, satisfying arcade-style bouts. Just don't expect to win the belt on your first try.
