Binary Land is this weirdly charming little puzzle game from the early NES days where you control two penguins at the same time—one moves horizontally, the other vertically. At first it feels like rubbing your stomach while patting your head, but once it clicks, you're weaving them through maze-like stages to rescue hearts from spiders and other critters.

The Famicom version throws 99 levels at you (no ending screen though, so don't expect fireworks). Some stages are simple, others make you pause just to figure out how to untangle your penguins' paths. That dual-control gimmick keeps it interesting even when the graphics are obviously basic.

It's one of those games that makes you appreciate how creative early devs got with limited hardware. Definitely more satisfying than it has any right to be.
