Bible Buffet is one of those weird NES games that somehow mixes trivia with action—like if Sunday school had a fever dream. You spin a wheel to move around a board, and depending where you land, you either play a mini-game (think dodging obstacles or collecting stuff for points) or answer Bible trivia. The trivia spaces are where things get tense—mess up a question, and you might lose a turn or get sent backward. Nail all three in a row, though, and you snag a star, which matters later.
The spinner’s got some quirks too. Land on a book icon, and boom—surprise quiz time. Happy face? Free hearts or a big leap forward. Sad face? Congrats, you’re stuck losing a turn or shuffling backward. It’s got that classic NES jank where luck matters way more than skill, but the mix of quick reflexes and random trivia keeps it oddly playable. By the end, the game tallies up stars, food items (because why not?), and points to crown a winner. It’s definitely a niche pick, but if you’re into retro oddballs or Bible-themed chaos, it’s a trip.
