Batsu & Terry (japan) Game

Batsu & Terry is one of those weird, charming NES games that never made it outside Japan—which is a shame because it's got this oddball mix of action and RPG elements that actually works. You control two characters at once (Batsu, the sword guy, and Terry, the... boomerang guy?) through these side-scrolling stages, switching between them on the fly to solve puzzles and fight enemies. The controls take a second to get used to, but once it clicks, there's something satisfying about juggling their abilities.
It's got that classic NES difficulty—expect to die a lot early on until you figure out enemy patterns. The music's surprisingly catchy too, with these bouncy chip-tune tracks that stick in your head. If you're into obscure retro games with quirky mechanics, this one's a neat little time capsule.
