Man, Andre Agassi Tennis on SNES takes me back. The second you boot it up, you're hit with that early '90s vibe—bright colors, chunky sprites, and Agassi's signature mullet bouncing as he serves. The controls are simple (A for topspin, B for slice), but don't let that fool you—timing matters way more than you'd think at first.
I remember getting wrecked by the CPU on medium difficulty until I figured out how to actually place shots instead of just whacking the ball. The courts have this weirdly satisfying pixelated sheen, especially the clay one where you can see little dust clouds when you slide. And that digitized "Out!" yell from the umpire? Iconic.
It's not the deepest tennis sim, but there's something about the way the ball physics work—hitting a perfect cross-court winner just feels right. You'll either love or hate the synth-heavy soundtrack, though. Either way, it's pure arcade-style tennis with just enough strategy to keep you from button-mashing your way to a loss.
