Alleyway on Game Boy is one of those simple-but-addictive brick-breakers that feels way better than it has any right to. You’ve got your paddle at the bottom, a ball bouncing around, and a grid of blocks to smash—classic stuff. The controls are tight, and the physics have that satisfying "just one more try" pull when you barely miss a shot.
What I love is how it starts easy, then throws in little twists—some blocks take multiple hits, others move horizontally, and the screen even scrolls sideways in later levels. It’s not flashy, but there’s something weirdly zen about clearing a stage perfectly. Plus, that tinny Game Boy soundtrack somehow never gets old.
If you’ve got a soft spot for retro games or just want something straightforward to zone out with, this one’s a solid pick. Just don’t blame me when you realize you’ve been playing for an hour straight.
