Man, Alien vs. Predator: The Last of His Clan on Game Boy is way more intense than you'd expect from a tiny cartridge. You pick either the Predator or the Alien (no humans here—just pure xenomorph chaos), and suddenly you're crawling through dark corridors or leaping between platforms, trying to survive. The pixel art somehow makes the Predator’s thermal vision look cool, even in green-and-black.
First time I played, I went Predator—big mistake. Those facehuggers come out of nowhere, and your plasma caster takes forever to charge. Switched to the Alien next round and had way more fun just skittering on walls and chomping everything. The controls are a little stiff by today’s standards, but once you get the rhythm, it’s weirdly satisfying. Also, that low-bit growl the Alien makes when it attacks? Still creepy.
If you’ve got a soft spot for ‘90s handhelds or just love the franchise, this one’s a weird little gem. Just don’t expect it to go easy on you.
