Ever played one of those weird, underrated NES games that feels like it got lost in time? The Adventures of Rad Gravity is exactly that—a side-scrolling sci-fi platformer with a bizarre charm. You play as Rad, jumping between planets with totally different gravity mechanics, which sounds cool until you realize you're constantly re-learning how to move. Some levels flip you upside down, others have low gravity—it's disorienting in the best way.
The art style is this chunky, colorful late-80s vibe, and the enemies range from robots to... whatever those floating jellyfish things are. The music’s got that classic synth energy too. It’s not the smoothest game—expect some janky jumps and cryptic level design—but that’s part of its weird appeal. If you’re into obscure retro stuff, this one’s a trip.
You can play it on emulators now, but good luck figuring out that one planet where the gravity shifts mid-jump. I still haven’t.
