So, Addams Family on SNES—it’s basically Gomez running around his own creepy mansion trying to rescue the family after they all get kidnapped (except Lurch and Thing, because apparently nobody wants to deal with those two). Thing pops up in little red boxes to drop hints, which is helpful because this place is a maze of hidden doors, weird side rooms, and bosses guarding health upgrades.
You jump on enemies like Mario, but Gomez also chucks golf balls at them, which feels weirdly satisfying. The mansion lets you explore in any order, so you might stumble into a tough area early and nope right back out. No saves, just passwords—classic '90s frustration when you lose the scrap of paper you wrote them on.
It’s got that weird Addams Family charm, though. The music’s eerie, the levels are packed with little details, and jumping on a suit of armor just to hear it clang never gets old. Definitely one of those licensed games that’s way better than it had any right to be.
