Zombies Ate My Neighbors is one of those weird, frantic SNES gems where you're either laughing or screaming at the screen. You pick between Zeke or Julie (doesn't really matter who—they play the same) and suddenly you're blasting zombies with a damn water gun. Holy water, sure, but still ridiculous in the best way.
The first level throws you right into it—sprinting through suburbia while rescuing dumb neighbors who keep walking into danger. You'll find better weapons later (like soda can grenades, because why not), but early on it's just you, that dinky squirt gun, and way too many monsters. The music's got this bouncy horror vibe that somehow makes chainsaw-wielding maniacs feel fun instead of terrifying.
It's tough as nails though—55 levels sounds generous until you realize how fast things spiral into chaos. Still, there's nothing quite like barely escaping a werewolf while your last neighbor waddles to safety.
