Tomato Adventure is one of those weird little GBA RPGs that somehow sticks with you. You play as DeMille, a tiny dude with a tomato juice gun, trying to rescue his friends from a gang of ketchup-themed weirdos. Yeah, it's as bizarre as it sounds—but in the best way.
The battles mix turn-based combat with this timing-based "Gimmick" system where you chain attacks by hitting buttons at the right moment. Took me a few fights to get the hang of it, but once it clicks, you start pulling off ridiculous combos against enemies like sentient french fries.
What really sells it is the humor—every NPC has some ridiculous line, and the whole world feels like it was designed by someone who really, really loved tomatoes. The sprite work is surprisingly detailed too, especially for a game this obscure. If you're into offbeat RPGs with personality, this one's a hidden gem.
