Okay, so The Sims: Bustin' Out on GBA is basically the portable version of that weird, chaotic Sims life sim we all love—just with chunky pixel sprites and way more limitations. You start off in some rundown shack (classic Sims move), and the goal is to grind your way up to cooler houses by doing odd jobs, schmoozing with NPCs, and buying furniture that somehow always looks slightly off because, y'know, Game Boy Advance.
It’s got that same bizarre charm where you’ll be microwaving endless plates of pancakes one minute, then suddenly getting abducted by aliens the next. The controls take some getting used to—everything’s menu-heavy, and the isometric view makes clicking the right object a gamble. But once you get the hang of it, there’s something weirdly satisfying about slowly upgrading from a mattress on the floor to a slightly less depressing apartment.
Also, the soundtrack is an absolute earworm. You’ve been warned.
